Know your gear – Awesome product worked right out of the box easy pinning and install just plug into the diagnostic plug bam done, but like 98 percent of Chinese instructions poor grammar, but can’t complain

Works, but supplied plug doesn’t fit – I purchased this gear position indicator for my wife’s 2008 Kawasaki Versys 650. Thé price was the main reason I selected this one versus others available, as they all had a similar appearance. The plug that cam with it did not match the plug on the motorcycle, but fortunately, the “dummy” exisiting male plug which was plugged into the female plug was able to accept the wire ends and work flawlessly once I figured out the correct wiring pattern. This took a bit of trial and error, but was worth the effort once I got it working. The attached video shows the result of the final installation.

how to install on a EX300R: white 4 pin connector is under the passenger seat under the flap – white 4 pin connector is under the passenger seat under the flap. The gear indicator wires push in with the pin edges sticking up. The black gear indicator wire goes to the upper forward hole, the white wire goes to the upper rear hole, the red wire goes in the lower forward hole.
