Not for novices! – It works great once you figure out how to apply the wiring harness to your vehicle. I have a TaoTao ATM50-A1 moped, basically a GY6 clone. Takes a little bit of work to configure it. i had to get everything and installed and working, but the math formula for setting the speedometer accuracy is a bit rubbish.

Junk out of a box – Product does what you see here. Nothing. Lights up to a blue screen and then nothing. Tech support sent me one response about wiring black and green-already tried it and then tired it again, no luck. Save your money and buy something else.

Do not buy this product! – Do not waste your money on this product! Quality or construction is poor, and the unit does not function properly. After spending too much time watching vids and reading install tutorials for this pile of crap I am giving up on it. The wiring alone is frustrating considering there are wires that are not even mentioned in the very poor “instruction/ wiring diagram” provided with the unit. The unit I received refuses to program no matter what I do. I have probably set the clock 3 dozen times because it refuses to work as it should. The odometer seems to track miles on the trip meter only. The speedometer does not function with the provided sensor set up, nor will it read using the stock sensor in my 2000 Katana 600. I have spent countless hours checking and rechecking the wiring, watching vids on installing and programming this unit with no results. No clue how it shows anything on the trip meter when the speedo doesn’t function at all. The absolute dumbest feature of this unit is the oil change interval light. Not a warning light for oil pressure, but it tells you when you are due for a change. WTF?

BYOB – Bring your own bracket – This gauge DIDN’T come with any mounting brackets, just screws sticking out of the back. Be prepared to figure out your own mounting solution

A needed upgrade to digital. – The number one thing you need to understand before taking the leap and going with this or any other speedo. You need to have your rides wiring diagram. You also need a basic understanding of wiring. If you have that then you should not have any problems with this upgrade. I have a 2004 Suzuki Volusia and wanted to go digital, and move it from the tank to the handlebars. I was able to and it works fine. The only thing that I did not hook up was the gear indicator. That model does not have one but I did hook the nutral up .
