Very solid lock down – This short arm mount has a nice convenience of a large hand know. No need to keep a torn tamper proof key or bit under the seat. If you need to make an adjustment. This makes it much simpler.

You do not get any type of one inch B size balls. You order the balls with the custom needs you have. This is a shorter clamp where you need a small length area clamp. This clamp is very well designed with high Quality Control production. It has an internal spring inside the two clamp halves to help keep it together when loose and positioning. It has a “thrust” washer on the Thumb Nut Wing Nut to make for smooth tightening twisting. I have decided to go with this brand, as I expand my clamp needs, because of its superior quality.

good arm for RAM systems – I use all kinds of RAM mounts for GPS, amateur radio, phones, etc. in vehicles, on ATVs, on tractors and even around the house. They are very practical and put the things you need within reach. These arms from BRCOVAN (more all-caps alphabet-soup brands…) seem to work very well with my RAM-branded equipment. The sockets are textured which seems to provide a good grip on the ball, but time will tell whether or not this degrades the ball. The real RAM sockets are smooth and depend purely on friction for holding which does not damage the ball. The BRCOVAN arms are aluminium and are somewhat thinner than RAM arms, so again time will tell if they can withstand the abuse that ATVs and tractors can dish out without breaking. If they hold up, and don’t destroy balls, then I’d recommend them. They have clean, angular lines and a smart appearance, but long term applicability will determine their value to me. I’ll update if they fail me.
