Product highlights :
METAL TO METAL STRONG – The Helmet Clip is Stainless Steel Constructed. Avoid plastic helmet strap mounts or other chin strap clips where the metal has been altered.
EASY TO INSTALL – This is a Kit, designed to make it easy to install on your helmet chin strap. You may need to remove a small plastic clip from the end of your chinstrap. Other than that, you can mount our chin strap adapter without the need of tools or sewing. If you remove the small plastic snap from your helmet and decide later you want to remove the clip, the plastic kam-snap can be replaced esialy. Beware of non-kit clips out there. They require sewing the strap. This would not be safe!
INSTALLS ON HELMET D-RINGS – Scan the QR Code for video! The Helmet Clip uses a Double Nylon Strap Mounting System to quick connect to your helmet. The dual strap system feeds though the helmet D-Rings the same way you would feed your helmet chin strap. The heavy duty stainless utility snaps keeps everything neat.
EXTENDS HELMET CHIN STRAP LENGTH – If you are in need of a little more chin strap length for your motorcycle, motocross, or snowmobile helmet, the Helmet Clip may be just what you are looking for as speed clip replacement for your existing retention system. Because the strap lenght will increase by approximately 1 inch, the Helmet Clip works best on 3/4 open face or half helmets.
SMOOTH RATCHETED BUCKLE – Our stainless steel buckle is very easy to use, even while wearing gloves. Our research shows our metal ratcheted chin strap was preferred over plastic ratcheted buckles, metal seat belt type buckles or pinch and squeeze together chin strap adapter kits.

***Fits Shoei X14 – Size Medium*** – I like quick release straps on my helmets, but the Shoei X14 doesn’t come with one. This quick release fits once you take off the strap snap button on the end of the right side helmet strap, AND you’ll need to install this in it’s tightest configuration, e.g., the right side helmet strap (first picture) inserted all the way into the buckle device when you install it. (The other side (second picture) with the red release on it is already as tight as you can make it.) Once it’s installed and it’s at it’s tightest, the connected strap under your chin is almost exactly where I wear mine and is tight enough.

Feels strong enough and secure – I like how it feels, the only problem I had was the other end that stays too long, but in general great item

Great addition to my helmet – When I switched helmets one thing I missed was the quick release helmet strap. I stumbled upon this adapter on Amazon and thought I’d give it a try. After watching the install video I was a little concerned because it says it may not work for all full face helmets depending on what size head, facial hair, etc. Luckily it does work for mine, I wear a size large. That being said if you wear anything smaller than that and plan on using this on a full face helmet, it might not work. I plan on buying a second one for my half helmet. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Well made but did not work – This quick release buckle is very sturdy and easy to operate. The problem is that when installing on an HJC I33, the chin strap would not tighten enough for the helmet to be safe. The part of the strap that originally had the plastic snap (strap keeper) would not allow the end of the buckle to slide up enough to properly tighten the buckle. Would work great if your existing chin strap is a little too tight, just did not work for my wife.

Just what I needed for a short extension – What I needed was just a short extension to allow my strap to go over my Rugged Radio headset. Easy to install and it has the added benefit of the quick release as it’s main value.

Install instructions fall one step short – This is a really good quick release buckle clip, except for one thing. The clip wants to be the best in its price range, but the instructions are less than average in production quality and step visualization.

It’s ok – It’s not very comfortable for my application on a Scorpion AT-950, but it works.
