Easy to install – Installed this wrap on the exhaust header of my air-cooled VW bus with the engine and exhaust in the vehicle. I did not soak the wrap but did wet it by briefly dunking in a bucket of water. I used relatively short sections, maybe 3 to 4 ft. The wrap formed well around the pipes and was easily pulled tight. Used temporary nylon zip cords to hold the end of the wrap tight while I installed the stainless steel zip cords. Needle-nosed pliers are helpful in tightening the steel zip cords. Watch some installation videos on line, plan ahead, and take your time. Actually, the installation did not take very long and I am pleased with the result.

So far so good – Installed easily, I used to stainless steel hose clamps for both ends and their ties in the middle. I tried a short piece first to see if I wanted to wet the entire role. Wetting appears to let it stretch a bit and reduce fiber escape. Decided for my application not too wet the material. Install was easy. Take care not to let it gap by keeping your rap even on each pass. After all installed used a little bit of JB weld on the hose clamps and their wire ties to make sure nothing backs off. if you don’t have pr ime plan on three weeks to get the order, my son ordered for me as he does have prime. and I had a date i needed the product. One reason I ordering more and more at other sites, much faster shipping with out paying for an account. Product was a bit thicker than the last header wrap I used but thats OK as no tight spots and its hidden. Did not get the color fixer spray as again hidden. I really wanted to write the company and help them with their instructions, grammar and word usage. but most people will know what they mean.

No complaints. – Came in good time. Had 10 straps. Did my 4 pipes on my honda civics 4-2-1 header. Have some left over but dont think its enough to do the 2-1 portion…but its pretty close. Overall happy though. No issues. Seller even sent a small instruction of nice quality unlike chinese products with a tiny piece of white paper. I ended up using hose clamps up top and saving the extra straps for below when I use up the rest. Also have a can of high temp silicone spray to treat is since thats a must. Ive used the other “titanium” stuff which didnt really enable me to get it as tight as this.

It works as expected – I recently put this on my 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500. I am not running as fast as I used too when I first bought the ATV. Those slower temps caused the heat from the exhaust to melt some of the plastic on the underside of the seat.

Very happy! One 50 foot roll is enough for 2 of my big block Chevy header… but I recommend hose clamps for final assembly – This stuff is not to be applied for someone who was in a rush. First time I’ve ever wrapped a set of headers. At least a two-hour job on each side with the header off the vehicle. My advice is to start with ,if you’re wrapping from the flange down I recommend starting with cutting a 8 foot long piece for each primary tube wrapping down Toward The Collector.. But obviously just cut one and see how that measures out realistically to your application (mine had moderately short primary tubes) Thereby adjust accordingly for the remaining tubes. I have big block Chevy weld up kit headers. One 50 foot roll is barely enough for 1 header in my application. But it is enough. Overall I I’m happy with the product and I do completely agree to just throw the whole roll in a 5 gallon bucket of water and pull out what you need. The stainless tie wraps are adequate and definitely help. However I completely recommend getting some decent quality hose clamps to permanently hold it in place at each end.
