Comfortable grips, look nice.. Need more adhesive on throttle grip. – These grips are very nice looking and comfortable with lots of rubber cushion. Installed these on my 2001 Suzuki vl800, The adhesive on the throttle grip was minimal to nonexistent and caused the rubber insert to spin freely on the inner plastic tube which it shouldn’t and could be a safety issue to cause throttle to possibly stick when riding. I remedied this issue with a gratuitous amount of gorilla glue between the rubber insert and plastic tube. Looks like it is holding quite well, you will also need some gorilla glue or a similar adhesive for the clutch side grip depending on size of your handlebar. Overall these are good grips for the money but they could be better. They would be great if the manufacturer was to better glue to plastic tube to the rubber insert.

Works well and comfortable if properly installed – Does not fit well in 7/8 handlebars very mch on the loose side. The factory glue on tye throttle tube is junk, just pull the tube out, clean off residual glue and use gorilla glue. Same with the left side. Align them and mark where you want them, spray a mist of water in the grips and coat the handlebars with gorilla glue. Then slide the grips on and wait overnight. I have had them a month and they are working great and holding up just fine. It all starts with a good install

Install carefully, a lot of gorilla glue needed for safe install. – Throttle grip installed fine, at first, but then shifted downward from handle bar while driving.

Poor adhesive on throttle grip – Used these on a 2006 VTX1300C. The adhesive on the throttle isn’t worth a crap. This is the second set I’ve bought. First set lasted a couple of months before throttle grip started slipping on the throttle sleeve, then the black cushions came out of the chrome grip. Made for a long trip from the Smokies back to Kentucky. The second set didn’t even last 24 hrs before it slipped, hardly any adhesive on it. I caught it in time to use an old dirt bike trick my dad taught me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt on the first set and ordered another set, shame on me. I am doing a 2000 mile road trip in late July to the Tail of the Dragon, and subsequent area. We’ll see how well they hold up then, especially if we encounter the kind of monsoon rains we encountered last year.

Not best design… – Could be a better design… The tab that sticks out IS adjustable, but not quickly or easily. Tab in the way for city driving but great on highway. Really would have been easy to make a tooless adjustment. I may do it myself.

Slips – The throttle side is perfect, but the clutch side slips. There is no adhesion that comes with these grips. I had to use duct tape on the handle bar to try to get it to stay. It helped alot but still slips some.
