Internal barrel not threaded for drink holder stem. – Description says will accept 5/16″ hardware. The drink holder threaded stem is measured at 5/16″. The internal barrel is not threaded for drink holder stem. Son bought drink holder at a yard sale, not knowing my handlebars are aftermarket 14″ apes @ 1 1/4″ tubing. Alas. No joy.

Needs spacer for metric bars – Quality product, well chromed, however, even though, it states 1 1/4 it needs a spacer to make it snug enough to fit tightly on the bar. A series of spacers made available would be helpful. I had to use copper fittings cut in half, lengthwise for both the top and bottom to make up the difference.

I understand sometimes you only need to replace one damaged item and I too hate to purchase more than I need but my mindset … – I was moving my speakers from a 1″ to a 1-1/4″ bar, I only wish the description was more clear that only one mount is included. All their units come with 2 speakers. I wrongly assumed that my purchase was for the two making this an expensive item. I understand sometimes you only need to replace one damaged item and I too hate to purchase more than I need but my mindset was moving the product from my old bike to my new bike. Fortunately I have PRIME so I only had to wait 2 more days to mount both speakers. 5 stars if cheaper and made more clear only one mount is included.

Exactly what I needed to fit my apes. – These are true 1 1/4″ clamps that fit my 16″ Kong ape hangers without any shims. I used two of these to relocate the mirrors below the grips on a yamaha roadstar.
