A good alternative to OEM – Product works as advertised – took a little wiggling and flexing to get it into place, but once I got it right, it’s stayed in place perfectly for the last 1000+ miles.

Great! – This product it just as good, if not better, than the HD one that costs twice as much money. Don’t hesitate to buy this for your Pan Am, it’s fantastic.

Not bad… – First off, I have no basis for comparison. This item looks just like the Harley version (without the HD cutout in middle). But I’ve only seen pictures of the HD version. This one mounts up perfectly, looks great and should protect the radiator from small stones.. I don’t think it would keep a large branch from stabbing the coils but I’m not sure any of them would. It’s aluminum and bends fairly easily. The only bad thing I have to say is about the instructions (there’s a picture). They are awful. Half of the instructions are for car mirrors! Although the pics appear to be a pan America. The bottom of the grill clips over and rests on the bottom rubber mounts and the top bolts on the radiator mounting points. There’s about an inch between the radiator and the guard, which I think is an appropriate distance. Overall, I’m satisfied.

It’s definitely from China. – The fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. But it was inexpensive, in stock and probably gets the job done. I’d like to see the material cleaned up prior to powder coating, holes line up better, the mounting flanges to be a little smaller and it could be made of slightly thicker material and pre-curved. That would increase the price but I’d be willing to have a “premium” version.
