Good product, don’t have high expectations for it – Overall nice solution for those who don’t want or have the expensive Garmin BMW sells. l, probably like most, use my phone for navigation. I don’t mind it being used for this on an ADV bike. First issue with this is the mounting plates. They do not fit if you want to use the existing BMW GPS prep. The orientation is off. They mount up vertical not horizontal. I used the existing GPS prep back bracket to mount it up. But that leaves a large gap between it and the phone mount. I will have to rig something up to fill the gap. However, it is secure enough for asphalt rides. Don’t think the jarring of road will allow it to stay in place the way i have it now. Other issue is the rubber pull down tab on the spring loaded security bar, it is splitting from the force being applied to pull it down. A few more pulls and it’s gonna rip right off. Since I wanted to use the existing BMW hardware and electronics, the mounting solution, I felt, should be provided with the product. Great overall solution though. Something everyone should get off not using a dedicated GPS navigation. Oh and it feeds up space of you don’t. This product is something BMW motorrad should have come up with and charge 3x as much. I would buy that! I think this is worth trying out. Well see how it holds up and I will update.

Just what I was looking for… – This is a great solution for my BMW R1200GS with the factory GPS mount. You pop off the OEM cover plate and pop this right on. It comes with an extra bracket that I didn’t need — I’m guessing if you want to take the Navigator mount completely off and install this (?). Either way I just plugged it in place of the GPS unit and that was all I needed to do.

Great Phone Mount – This fit perfectly into the existing BMW GPS mount on my 2020 R1250 GSA. It holds my iPhone XR in a Pelican case nice and tight. I don’t have concerns my phone is going to jump off the bike. The USB power has been working fine. I’m super happy with this!!! I had an official BMW GPS unit in there that went on the fritz, was clunky, and kept trying to send me into the ocean. Would like to see one of these for an iPad mini for longer trips.

As advertised, works well but not compatible with all BMW GS – Bought this for a 2019 BMW F850GS and it works well; exactly as advertised. Not sure how long it will last but I’ve had it for over a year with no problems. Tried it on a 2022 R1250GS and it definitely does not work. It fits securely but with no power to the USB ports. However, the description does not say it is compatible with the R1250GS.

Doesn’t fit on the 2005 R1200GS Garmin mount as claimed – This DOES NOT WORK on a 2005 BMW R1200 GS. I bought this because the seller claimed it used the motorcycle’s original factory installed Garmin GPS wiring and mounting bracket. It was suppose to simply snap into the bracket and the power and ground wire contacts would match up exactly like the original Garmin GPS did. But the screw holes of the Garmin don’t line up with the mounting brackets on this product. In addition, the mounting brackets that come with this kit are for a much smaller diameter handlebar tube than what BMW used for my 2005 R1200 GS . I had to heavily modify the mounting brackets and remove the Garmin mount and modify its wiring harness before I was able to install and use this. Unless you have the tools and are an experienced fabricator, I do not recommend buying this for a 2005 BMW R1200 GS application

Main Problem – Bottom spring loaded holder sits right on Volume buttons of phone! – It has a poor placement of the bottom spring-loaded holder. If you have any type of case on your phone, which we all do, it hits right where the volume adjustments are. So if you are using Bluetooth with a headset and you mount the phone is secured all of the way in, the bottom spring loaded holder is right over the volume controls. Otherwise it holds the phone secure as it is supposed too.
