– Update 2020. I bought a TomTom Rider 400 in 2015 and the charger mount lasted about 2 years or 15k miles. I then got a replacement from Amazon in 2017 and this has lasted 2.5 years or 20k miles.

– The dock works fine but there will come a time when it gives up the ghost, because they all do and there is nothing that can be done about it. Except buy another. TomTom do not have them built to a good enough quality to prevent this. I have had 3 already. Be warned.
