Cumbersome – It’s hard to find a phone holder that fits larger phones, especially a longer one like mine–the rubber band ones just don’t cut it. This unit is consequently large, too. I don’t have lot of available space on my motorcycle handlebar, so it gets in the way of the ignition a bit in the only place it fits. For this reason, I dont leave it mounted. I guess beggars can’t be choosers, though; at least it does what I need it to–hold a larger phone. The spring-loaded mechanism to grip the phone itself requires both hands to operate, and even then I have to slightly force my LG Velvet in (with a minimal protective case on it), so my phone is the max length that fits: 6.75 inches.

Use your phone as emergency light! – I found myself without a bike lamp in the dark, so I put the phone face down into the holder with the flashlight on and turned it towards the road – sturdy enough to hold the phone even in this vertical position!
